Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. While over 30 of the University’s academic programs are accredited by their own disciplinary accreditors, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University as a whole is accredited by HLC; all of the University’s programs and units are covered by this institution-wide accreditation. HLC offers two different pathways to institutional accreditation. They are the Standard Pathway and the Open Pathway. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University has been on the Open Pathway since 2019. The next HLC Comprehensive Evaluation and visit will occur during the 2034-35 academic year.

Executive Vice President and Provost
Dr. Donald J. Leo serves as the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University Executive Vice President and Provost. He is a professor of mechanical engineering and most recently served as the first dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Georgia. At Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University Dr. Leo manages the academic deans and a variety of offices that foster academic quality and student success.

Donald J. Leo, Ph.D., became the Executive Vice President and Provost of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University on July 1, 2024. He shared his journey to OHIO and his vision for the Office of the Provost during the University Updates on September 26, 2024.
