ĢƵ University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. While over 30 of the University’s academic programs are accredited by their own disciplinary accreditors, ĢƵ University as a whole is accredited by HLC; all of the University’s programs and units are covered by this institution-wide accreditation. HLC offers two different pathways to institutional accreditation. They are the Standard Pathway and the Open Pathway. ĢƵ University has been on the Open Pathway since 2019. The next HLC Comprehensive Evaluation and visit will occur during the 2034-35 academic year.
Executive Vice President and Provost
Dr. Donald J. Leo serves as the ĢƵ University Executive Vice President and Provost. He is a professor of mechanical engineering and most recently served as the first dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Georgia. At ĢƵ University Dr. Leo manages the academic deans and a variety of offices that foster academic quality and student success.

Donald J. Leo, Ph.D., became the Executive Vice President and Provost of ĢƵ University on July 1, 2024. He shared his journey to OHIO and his vision for the Office of the Provost during the University Updates on September 26, 2024.
