Low Conferral Program Working Group
The (Section 3345.454) requires state institutions of higher education that have tenured faculty members to eliminate any undergraduate degree program if the institution confers fewer than five degrees annually over a three-year period. The period does not include any academic year prior to the first academic year in which an undergraduate degree is conferred in the program. The institution may apply for a waiver from the chancellor using a process and manner determined by the chancellor.
Working Group Charge 
To meet the requirements of the AOHEA related to closing low conferral undergraduate programs, the task force is asked to: 
- Thoroughly review related details/requirements of AOHEA to ensure common understanding. 
- Assist in developing and implementing an annual process for reviewing program degree conferrals and identifying programs that confer fewer than five degrees annually over three years, in compliance with the AOHEA and guidance from the chancellor.
- Assist in developing recommendations for an internal process for requesting a waiver for identified programs in compliance with guidance from the chancellor.
Working Group Expectations 
Members will meet virtually weekly (unless otherwise noted) beginning from May 2025 to August 2025. Members may be asked to serve in smaller subgroups. 
Working Group Goal 
The goal is to complete the charge and prepare a written summary report. The deadline for the report is August 16, 2025. However, some items may be due in advance of the deadline.
