The hub offers a collaborative platform for greater connectivity among STEM initiatives and partnerships to help educators and families to engage with STEM resources, experiences and opportunities.

About the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ STEM Learning Network

The is committed to helping the State of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ inspire and train the next generation of innovative leaders. It leverages existing STEM schools and programs to spread effective practices and tools across the state and the nation.

The network operates as a public-private partnership between the  and . STEM and STEAM schools are designated by the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ STEM Committee, which is supported by the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Department of Education & Workforce and advised by the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ STEM Learning Network. Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ has seven regional STEM hubs.

About the Southeast Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ STEM Hub

OSLN Regional Hubs play a key role in the state of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ by sharing resources with regional STEM collaborators and working to expand access to high quality STEM programs across the region. The hubs do this through facilitating partnerships with local entities representing K-12, higher education, communities and businesses.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service was awarded $62,000 in grant funding to promote STEM education in schools in Southeast Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ through the Southeast Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ STEM Hub.

OHIO faculty and staff in the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service and the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences are collaborating on the project and serving as co-directors.

STEM-designated schools help prepare students to drive Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ's innovative future by creating partnerships with local businesses and creating work-based learning experiences for Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ students.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ law provides a specific pathway for designation as a school that's an effective place for STEM or STEAM learning. The Southeast Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ STEM Hub can help by providing professional development for educators, events, and hands-on classroom resources and activities.
