OHIO Advantage Community of Practice
Launching in Fall 2025, the OHIO Advantage Community of Practice is an interdisciplinary initiative designed to support faculty, advisors, and career professionals in embedding career readiness into curriculum and co-curricular experiences. Centered around the NACE career competencies and industry-specific skills, this collaborative space will foster discussion, resource-sharing, and innovation across disciplines.
Participants will benefit from:
- Opportunities to explore and apply career competency integration in a flexible, interest-based model.
- Access to tools, frameworks, and best practices for embedding and assessing career readiness in courses.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration that bridges academic learning with workforce expectations.
- A leadership role in launching a campus-wide skills mapping project.
Key deliverables include, but not limited to:
- a faculty-facing toolkit,
- course redesign examples,
- career readiness assessment guidelines,
- and access to funding for course tagging initiatives.
