Student artist t-shirt designs now available through Bobcat Depot
The ĢƵ University experience – in the classroom and beyond – inspired the artwork of three student t-shirt design competition winners. The winning designs celebrate everything that makes an OHIO education special.

A jury of faculty, Advancement staff, students and alumni made final selections from student design submissions, awarding three scholarships to winners.
Artists in Professor JP Rhea’s graphic design course, Ella Chandler, Jalynn Eberts and Jordyn Roderick, won this year’s competition (conducted during Spring Semester 2025), along with $1,000 scholarships to continue their studies.
Ella Chandler, senior graphic design major
Chandler's design features the local flora and fauna – from squirrels and bobcats to mushrooms and cherry blossoms – as special “Athens ĢƵ Postal Service” stamps.
“I am honored to have my design selected,” she said. “My favorite thing about Athens is the wildlife, so I wanted to highlight that.”
Jalynn Eberts, senior graphic design major
The design by Eberts celebrates walks along the river on the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway and highlights OHIO’s iconic lamppost.
“I've always enjoyed walking along this path during my time at ĢƵ University, and I wanted to create a design to capture that,” she said. “I enjoyed this project and am honored to have one of my designs showcased for the alumni and future Bobcats to enjoy.”
Jordyn Roderick, senior graphic design major
Roderick’s design features a bold block “OU” type treatment and imagery of Peden Stadium, Bird Arena and the Convocation Center, celebrating Bobcat sporting events.
“I’m honored to have one of my designs selected, and I truly appreciate the kind feedback from the jury,” she said.
