When you study, work or live on one of the most scenic college campuses in the country, every season is beautiful.
But fall at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University, well, it’s just special.
In between the sunny and warm days of summer and the colder days of winter, the fall semester is a perfect time to be in college and to make memories and friends that will last a lifetime.
Firsts and lasts
The campus is covered in colorful leaves, the air is crisp and cool, and every week the University hosts numerous events that attract students, alumni and Bobcats of all ages. In between the events, students are studying in Alden Library, celebrating Bobcat victories in a wide range of sports and enjoying the unique experiences that students receive at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University is not just a college, it becomes part of you just as you become part of it. And you can see this clearly during the perfect days of fall.
Some students are now well into their first semester at college and getting a good understanding of college life, while others are in their last semester, getting ready to graduate in December.
When we say "you'll remember this walk forever," this is what we mean.
Burning daylight
The foothills of Appalachia often begin their days with a misty fog that burns off throughout the morning to showcase the vibrant colors of fall.
On Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University’s Athens campus, students may wake up with in their own fog as the hours of daylight become fewer and fewer, but the walks up Jeff Hill and around campus are brightened by the spectacular colors on the College Green and all across the Athens campus and the University’s regional campuses.
A dazzling sky, showing it can match that "autumn leaves" energy.
Gatherings and games
The weather has been warm this fall semester, too, which has made for many perfect afternoons to relax in the popular hammocks on campus, play games, walk with friends across campus or just enjoy afternoons relaxing on a bench or on the College Green.
In the evenings, the colors shift to the skies, which are painted with spectacular reds and oranges across the clouds. Underneath the bright moons and the colorful clouds, OHIO students decorate pumpkins, pack Peden Stadium and relax with friends.
This fall, the weather cooperated with anyone who wanted to spend time outside enjoying the many recreational options available on campus, and off.
Enjoying every moment
Along with the cooler temperatures of Fall, you see more and more OHIO sweatshirts, sweaters and sometimes even winter coats already on campus. Some students, of course, will stick with wearing shorts throughout the fall and winter, causing older faculty and staff to shake their heads, but then remember when they did that back in the day, too.
Fall is a wonderful time to look back and look ahead, but an even better time to just enjoy the moment. And there’s no better place to enjoy the moment than at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University.
