The American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO) serves the osteopathic profession by advancing the education and training of osteopathic orthopedic surgeons through high-quality instructional courses, mentorship, and faculty leadership in residency programs. With over 1,900 members and involvement in training over 500 residents annually, AOAO helps ensure the delivery of exceptional musculoskeletal care. The organization contributes to the broader osteopathic community by promoting osteopathic principles, encouraging professional development, and disseminating cutting-edge orthopedic knowledge that enhances patient care across all specialties. Through these efforts, AOAO upholds the values of holistic, patient-centered treatment while leading in osteopathic orthopedic medical education.
