Alexis Barker

Alexis is an Interior Architecture student and Design Consultant who has always been drawn to the feeling you get when you step inside of a space – how it makes us feel, move, and connect. For a long time she did not realize this intuitive curiosity could be a career path. Once she started studying Interior Architecture , everything clicked. It has now changed the way she moves through the world – walking into any room and instinctively thinking about the lights, the flow, the layout, and how the people inside of the space are impacted.

Design is more than just making something look good—it’s about how it feels to be there. With a background in interior architecture, design, and visual merchandising, Alexis focuses on creating spaces that not only function beautifully, but also support well-being, spark connection, and tell a story. Especially drawn to the emotional side of design—how light, layout, and texture can shape our moods and experiences. Whether it’s a cozy corner or a bold, immersive environment, each project is approached with intention, curiosity, and a belief that good design can genuinely make life better.

Alexis is passionate about exploring how thoughtful design shapes human experiences, turning everyday spaces into places of belonging. Every project is an opportunity to build something intentional, transformative, and deeply personal.

As her journey continues, Alexis has acquired a position at Frontgate as a Design Consultant to serve as her internship requirement, though she will continue to pursue a career in New York— to continue to grow, learn, and design spaces that leave a lasting impact, perhaps on a larger scale.
