Laura Ezyk is an Interior Architecture student at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ University and a Design Intern at Nvironment in Columbus, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, who draws on her rich personal and professional experience to create thoughtful and authentic designs. Laura grew up in Detroit, Michigan and earned her BS degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1999.  After graduation, Laura worked in the environmental consulting sector, earning her Professional Engineering Certificate in the State of Michigan and performing design and project management tasks for numerous landfill and industrial manufacturing clients.  With the birth of her son in 2006, Laura left the professional realm and spent the next 16 years as a homemaker, living in various places throughout the US, doing volunteer work and home improvement projects, including several major home renovations.  In 2022, Laura decided to pursue a career in Interior Design and enrolled in the Interior Architecture program at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ University. In 2024, she began an internship at the Nvironment design firm, doing commercial design work in the hospitality and higher education sector and plans to stay with the firm upon graduation this May with a BFA in Interior Architecture.  Laura’s goal as a designer is to create spaces with authenticity and she uses her experience to develop creative design solutions. Laura currently lives in Columbus, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ with her husband and teenage son and spends her free time participating in dog sports with her 2-year-old whippet and attending local sporting events with her family.
