Misty D. Cole, MSW, LSW

As the continuing education coordinator for Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ University, Misty supports continuing education for the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Center for Community Health Worker Excellence. Prior to this role, she enthusiastically served as the state of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ lead for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health at both the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Department of Children and Youth. Misty also worked for over a decade as one of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµâ€™s Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Master Trainers, training thousands of professionals on the values of social emotional development for young children and their families. She also coordinated both local and statewide professional development opportunities to support professionals in acquiring information on the value of trauma informed care, social emotional development , and the value of adult resilience. Misty’s educational background includes a focus on early childhood education, psychology, and social work. She identifies as a champion for workforce and professional development and looks forward to continuing to support professionals around Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ.
